Domestic Violence Awareness & Prevention Month

The 6th Annual Community Tribute on October 9, 2025 brought together the Maple Grove community and partners across Minnesota to honor more than 150 MN lives lost to domestic violence since 2020—from a 2-year-old child to a grandfather—each life deeply impacting our community. Guests experienced Memory Lane and a powerful program that blended uplifting music with Bold Voices: Real Men ~ Real Talk, where men modeled how to speak up and help prevent abuse.

With 270 in-person attendees and more than 1,000 online viewers, the Tribute continues to grow as a powerful model for community-based prevention—where remembrance becomes action and prevention becomes a shared responsibility. Watch the 1-minute video below to experience the impact of the evening.

5th Annual Community Tribute,
Domestic Violence Awareness Month

On October 11, 2024, we honored 123 Minnesota lives lost to domestic violence since 2020. The event featured speakers promoting domestic abuse prevention education and uplifting music, celebrating the uniqueness of those lost while emphasizing community action.

4th Annual Community Tribute,
Domestic Violence Awareness Month

On October 5, 2023 we gathered the community to honor 103 lives taken by Domestic Violence in MN since 2020. Memory Lane honored them with compassion and joy, highlighting the uniqueness of everyone taken from their families. Speakers from the faith community, the city, a local business, a family, and the medical community spoke on how we must join the Prevention message. Uplifting live music moved our hearts and souls! Streamed live on Facebook, more than 1,000 people joined to support domestic violence prevention. Thank you to volunteers and everyone who, despite the weather, acknowledged the loss our communities endure.
