The Impact of
Community Education

When Maria’s life was taken by domestic violence in 2020, we took on domestic abuse prevention education. We educate everyone so people are aware of the behaviors abusers choose to violate their intimate partners and our communities. These behaviors devastatingly affect the person victimized, overburden our health care system, police, and shelters, and shatter our kids’ safety. Behaviors abusers choose can be named and avoided, or a relationship exited safely before violence escalates.  Educating EVERYONE to know the signs puts a safety zone around family, friends, and coworkers.
