Maria always said she was one of the luckiest girls in the world to be adopted from an orphanage in Mexico City by Lissa and Bill. Gratitude, fairness and joy was Maria’s true north. She doted on Bill, Lissa, her dogs and horses. In return, she was very loved. Maria worked hard to be a summa cum laude college grad, a talented gymnast, and a competitive Cheerleader. Drawn to nature, she loved her feet in the sand, sunsets, the ocean and beach. She delighted in telling and hearing the same family stories over again at a campfire. 

Maria dreamed big and was always working hard to accomplish her next goal. Just a bit before she died, she asserted, “Mom, I am a work in progress and proud of it. In Mexico, she said, “Mom, dad, I have found my people.” She consistently worked toward her best self, sweet, serious, magical and kind.

Maria wants you to experience a safe home with trusting relationships, children, joy and frequent dog kisses. Do that in celebration of Maria Fernanda Bliss Pew, a woman you would have really liked. A woman who wants the best for you.
